Cancer has become so much a part of our lives, we have become somewhat numb to its dangers. We've gotten to the point where maybe we have simply accepted it as inevitable. Someday, somewhere, somehow, it will touch us. The American Cancer Society has been fighting against cancer for over 100 years. We just finished a new campaign for them, the idea being that despite the relentlessness of the disease, we should have hope. Not blind faith in a cure, but a quiet faith in imagining a world where cancer is less of a killer and more of a nuisance. A world where we celebrate more birthdays.
